Moab Trip with Kaden and Taycee October 2013

We went on a Moab Trip over Fall Break with Taycee and Kaden and Hunter.  Mark's family came as well.   Bryce and Colleen came down to go jeeping and loaned us Haylee for a couple of days.  There were too many trails to choose from.  But we did Chicken Corners, Dellenbaugh Tunnel/Secret Spire and Rainbow Terrace.  It was a good variety.  But for the record, I wouldn't do Rainbow Terrace again. The third day we hiked around Arches for a half day.  Here are some pics of the trip.

First day we went to Chicken Corners.  You can walk all the way around this ledge to a big open area.

Truck decided to quit working the last day.  So we're very thankful that it finally started and we were able to make it home.  Now it is stuck in the driveway and needs to be towed to a repair shop. :(

Our weekend in Boise

It all started with our sweet hot air balloon ride. 

Then we put Ayla to work cleaning the blinds to get ready for conference...

We had our fair share of walks on the green belt. Ayla enjoyed the very bouncy ride.

And we found dinner in the river! We feel so blessed that Heather and Evan live right next to the greenbelt.

Maybe someday we can all live in a house on the river.

Bike wreck

Jenny and I went to Boise to visit Heather and family. I was determined to take bikes cuz that's one of my favorite things to do up there.... bike along the green belt. However it was a very windy drive which probably added to the disfunction of the bike rack (borrowed from Jason), and which ultimately ended up in the bike falling off the rack and being run over by a semi. Very sad. We had to leave it on the side of the road and continue on our journey.

Here are four random facts about my four little munchkins

Addison

1. Is having the hardest time with Chris being gone. She is super clingy and needy.

2. Is a fabulous sleeper as long as we stick to her routine. Strangely though if I put her to bed any later than 9:00 she lays and cries til almost midnight.

3. Still has a vocabulary of about 20 words

4. Loves cereal, could live off the stuff, preferably captain crunch but anything will do.

Taycee

1. Is my very best helper with the baby. She loves to hold her and feed her a bottle.

2. Has been practicing her reading lately. We downloaded a reading game on the I-Pad, it is a hit

3. GUT laughs when she thinks something is funny. Even if I don't find it so amusing I always end up laughing at her belly laugh.

3. Misses her daddy a lot also. She draws daily pictures of him and her holding hands.

Kaden

1. Is still the perfect child of the house :)

2. Loves school and friends. He has made a new friend two doors down and plays with him almost daily. He also came home with two new numbers of friends from school.

3. Out eats me. His idea of a "snack" is 3 pieces of bread, and a bag of chips.

4. Is an excellent reader and actually seems to enjoy it. In the mornings before school he picks a book from grandmas bookshelf and reads it to me.

Brielle

1. Is giving Kaden a run for his money as favorite ;)

2. Has a face that melts my heart. Even if it is crying or waking me up at 5:45

3. Can pretty much hold up her own head

4. Definitely will have blue eyes, just like her sisters.

Brie

Brie officially turned 3 months old. Her newest and cutest trick is her giggle. I haven't successfully captured the real thing on video yet I'm always 2 seconds slow. But here is a close sample.
