Well I know you've all been dying for an update on our yard ;)
The grass is coming in, slowwwwwly. and the weeds are coming in quickly. It's still pretty patchy but we've been told it will fill in and the weeds will go away after we start mowing. We aren't impressed, so far. We have a neighbor that did their own seed right after us, and their grass is flourishing. They've already mowed it three times.
I'm starting to come around to the idea of having three girls. I think it's going to be alright. Let's hope she takes after Ayla!... ha. jk?... but not really.
I'm getting released as a primary teacher/activity days leader (yay!) And they're calling me to be a primary pianist. I'm pretty nervous since I'm not a very good sight reader. But I guess we'll see how it goes.
Well, That's it. We're excited for Hansen Park! Out of the blue the other day I heard the girls singing the skunk song. it made me laugh. We'll see you soon!

Bryce Canyon 6/14/18
We took a fast two-day trip to Bryce Canyon June 14-15, 2018. Julie, Gregg, Katey, Bryce, Kortney, Ella and Ty came with Scott, Hunter and I.
We spent Friday in Bryce Canyon. We did the Queen's Garden hike and the Navajo trail. We visited the Sunrise Point, Sunset Point, Inspiration Point and Bryce Point. All of which was stunning!

We stayed at the Day's Inn in Panguitch. Good choice. It was about 30 min. to Bryce Canyon. We did a little biking from Bryce Canyon to the Visitor Center in Red Canyon. I enjoyed the downhill parts, but the paved trail had lots of divots in it which made for a rougher ride on my road bike. Still very fun. Stopped at the petting zoo in Scipio on the way home. That's always fun. :)
Better late than never... ??
I was going through folders on my computer and came across these gems that I had forgotten I took.
They were too cute not to share a few.

Scott, Marie, Hunter update
Well, it's been a while since I've posted. Here's what's going on in each of our lives...
Hunter -
Hunter -
- made it into Madrigals (yay!) So that will be a good group for him to associate with for the next two years.
- is officially employed at the Walker Cinemas. He is training now and he's really excited to be making $6 an hour (how is that even legal???). Free movie passes could be coming our way....
- purchased a new aquarium. Since a dog was out of the question, he went for fish! He did a lot of research, and we now have every fish chemical and needed accessory you can imagine. They are pretty fun to watch. Out of 21 fish, we've only had two casualties. Maybe that's not so great if you think we've had them about two weeks.

Scott(Dad) -
- is feeling much better - he even thinks he might could play some pickleball this week. Yay!
- has a new calling. He's now a high councilman in our stake. He's not real excited about that, but he'll do a great job.
- went to the sand dunes Saturday, and he came home saying he might sell all the paddle tires and stick to trail riding with me. Hmmm.... we'll see.
Marie(Mom) -
- Got a new job Monday working part time for Dr. Terry (optometrist) in his lab. I love the hours - Mon/Tues 12-3 and Wed 12-8.
- quit my job Wednesday after the first day of training. Probably set a record for the shortest-term employee they've ever hired. It was so overwhelming for my little brain, that I knew it wasn't the job for me! I've never been so happily UNemployed!
- still keep busy playing pickleball nearly every day.
It's fun having Jenny and Clara here. We're going to attempt a hike tomorrow. Looking forward to Milo's baby blessing in a couple of weeks! Love to you all!

The Claytons
Update from the Clayton Clan
Chris applied for 2 jobs in Texas last week. Not sure if anything will come of that but they were jobs he felt very qualified for and would enjoy. One in San Antonio on in Freeport. I guess we will see.
We are finally getting some sunshine here. Last week was in the 80's it's like we skipped spring all together and went straight to summer! I'm not complaining though, I like lots of warm sunshine.
Beckham is walking finally, at 18 months he decided walking was far more efficient than crawling. I am pretty excited about that because all the knees of his pants were getting trashed.
Phoebe is officially pregnant. We are not sure on the number of puppies yet. She is due May 22nd and has an X-ray scheduled for next week so we can get the official puppy count. The kids/Chris are really excited. I am indifferent. I think that might have to do with the fact that I am the one who stresses/takes care of and cleans up puppies for 8 weeks.
This week is tech week for my show. I am equally terrified and excited. It will be a LONG week. I will be at the school from 4-10 every night until opening night Friday. It has been a fun experience working with this group. I had to dig up skills I haven't used in a long time and I have been reminded just how much I love the performing arts. I am super nervous for this first show. I feel like everyone is waiting to see how the show goes before deciding just how good of a director I am. And to be honest...so am I. A few extra prayers sent my way this week would be great. I wish you could all come and see it. I feel like a piece of my heart and soul will be left on that stage. We are super excited to have mom and grandparents coming. The kids have been talking about it all week and Brielle also includes it in her "thankful" list during prayers.
Here is our flyer for the show.

I think that is all for now. Love you Fam!

Sunday Post
You guys,
Let's revive the brief blog update on Sundays thing. I miss that. I don't get let in enough on what's going on in all of your lives.
Here's our update today.
We are working hard on the yard, getting it ready for grass. And by "we" I mean Evan. He's a rockstar. We received 8 loads of top soil on Wednesday. and he is just about done spreading it all out. Luckily he was able to borrow a skid loader from his employer which has made it all doable. We are getting curbing this week and hydroseed the next week! Woohoo! Then we just have to wait a couple months for it to grow. We should have a nice lawn about the time we get back from the Webre Family Reunion.

^^^ Ayla's Sunday artwork is pretty special! ^^^
The girls have a new best friend across the street who literally knocks on our door EVERY day and asks them to play. It is pretty awesome, for them AND for me!
Aldi LOVES scooting all over the house, and doesn't like to be held anymore.
That's it for us!
