DeLong Hap'nins

Evan surprised me by taking me on a date to the BSU basketball game last night. He was given tickets at work, and they landed us in the 2nd row at center court! Woot. It was fun to get out, and we beat Nevada by a landslide. Go Broncos!

In other news, some of you already heard, but I saw my doctor today and he said I *could* be induced at 39 weeks (March 21) if I so choose, and if my cervix is "favorable." So... hmmm.. that's given me something to think about! Either way, I won't let her go PAST due date, so we're down to the last month! Ahhhh!

Time to guess!

Alright... go ahead and leave a comment on this post with your guesses for Ayla Rae's birth.

1. Date

2. Time

3. Hours of labor

4. Weight

5. Length

6. Color of hair

7. Number of toes

Winners will receive a... special ...prize? .... !!  ;) Be excited.

Here's how Hunter went to school today.  Hoping for extra handouts of Valentines I guess.  Funny boy.

Ayla's Mobile

Sorry, I'm not trying to be a blog hog. Last one, I promise.

I decided to do a handmade mobile for Ayla's nursery. Including all the materials for the craft and the music-box motor it only cost me 13 dollars! Woot! Twice the cuteness at half the price. Good thing I have lots of spare time on my hands.

If you think Bennett's moves are impressive...

A little sample of what I'm experiencing these days.

Bennett's latest trick

Now he just needs to teach his brother!

I'll Walk With You

Last night for FHE we sang "I'll Walk With You" from the Children's song book, and before the first few lines were through I started weeping and Evan proceeded to finish the song by himself. Haha, oh what a joy to be pregnant!

But really, it touched my heart. So I wanted to share it with you.

If you don’t walk as most people do,
Some people walk away from you,
But I won’t! I won’t!
If you don’t talk as most people do,
Some people talk and laugh at you,
But I won’t! I won’t!
I’ll walk with you. I’ll talk with you.
That’s how I’ll show my love for you.
Jesus walked away from none.
He gave his love to ev’ryone.
So I will! I will!
Jesus blessed all he could see,
Then turned and said, “Come, follow me.”
And I will! I will!
I’ll walk with you. I’ll talk with you.
That’s how I’ll show my love for you.

Isn't that what the gospel's all about? Loving and serving others. I just thought it was a sweet little reminder that even though we may not see eye to eye with some people, we're all children of God, and everyone deserves to be loved. We show that we're disciples of Christ when we show Christ-like love to everyone.

In other news... It is like a beautiful springtime wonderland here. The snow is all melted, my sliding glass door is wide open, and I'm enjoying a light breeze, soaking in the sunshine and listening to the birds sing. It feels like heaven. So... come to Boise.

That's all :)

Love you guys!

Once There Was a Snowman...

So, last week I decided I wanted to build a snowman and woman. Dwight came over to help. This is what they looked like when we were done.

Notice the unique way that they have melted since. I think the sun only hits them from behind, so that is why they are leaning so much that way.

Impressive that they are still standing though, right?

Dwight and I went Latin dancing on BYU campus last week and it was super fun, although we are both at a loss as to how to move our hips. I think we will try Country Swing dancing tomorrow. I think Dwight has a lot more experience with country dancing because he kept pulling out these country swing moves on me while we were Latin dancing and it was making me laugh.

On a roll...

So I hear Bennett has a new trick...rolling!!  I think we need a video on the blog.  Is that possible?

Three Months!

We have been working very hard on symmetry this past month, and Cooper almost has it mastered. Bennett is a very slow learner.

Lunch

So... sometimes I just make myself a giant bowl of hootenannies for lunch.

Anyone else love them as much as I do?

The princess.

We played pretty pretty princess today. Kaden won. He is so proud.

Whaaaaaat

Aarrrghhhhh too... much... yellow! What happened to the background Mom picked out?

Hey so lately every morning when I wake up I can't stretch my legs without triggering a major charlie horse in my calf! It is seriously frightening. And when I arch my back I get pain just inside my hips/below my belly. Whaaaa, my body is freaking out! I'm trying to remember to hold off on the stretching but old habits are hard to break. Did this ever happen to you, Mom? Jill? Katie?

A few stats

7- the number of doctor appointments we have scheduled in the next 3 weeks
6- the number of times I woke up last night to blow my nose (I hate colds)
5- the amount of dollars a footlong costs at subway this month. I know because I have been there twice since Saturday. Love me some subway.
4- the number of people currently in their pajamas at our house ( it is 1:00 people)
3- the number of bowls I was eating out of at midnight last night -- the bowls contained, strawberries, salsa, and tortilla chips.-- can we say pregnancy cravings?
2- the number of days before I get my back fixed (hopefully)
1- the number of hours Kaden made it at school today before they called and asked me to pick him up because he didn't feel good.

so there is a glimps into life at our house. Sounds fun, no?

Girls Retreat Update

Ok, girls.  I have an update on our getaway.  I have reservations for the Shilo Inn, which I chose mostly for its location and price not its luxuriousness.  It does have an indoor pool/hot-tub.  It has a continental breakfast.  It's located right downtown by temple square or thereabouts.  I got two rooms so we don't have to squish.  Check-in time is 4:00 (bummer) but how about we try to meet there at about 2:00?  Are Jenny and Katie coming together? Or is Jason dropping off the two of you on his way north? Heather and I could pick up Jill.  Anyway, if the rooms aren't ready by 2, then I'm sure they'd still let us park and we could go walk around or go shopping or whatever until the room is ready.  Check-out is at noon.  So be thinking of what you want to do, and where you want to eat dinner.  I'm giving you each $25 that you MUST spend on yourself... so be thinking of what you might want.  By the way, the hotel and dinner are on me as well. You deserve to be spoiled for a day.  Looking forward to it!

Not Boring Anymore!

Last night I grabbed Dwight's hand because I couldn't wait any longer for him to make a move.
It has been over three years since my hand was held by a real man. It felt pretty good. :D
I wish you could know him like I know him.

Mr. Epperson (Dwight) has already asked me to go with him on Valentines Day. More juicy stories to come. ;)

The Twins Have a New Friend!

In our last ward we became good friends with the Porters. They hadn't been married for much longer than us, and we were all in the same stage of life. That's why it was so fun to find out that they were going to be having a baby just a few months after the twins. Last night Cooper and Bennett got to meet their new friend Marshall Porter. He is three weeks old now, and noticeably smaller than the twins. It was a good reminder of how much the twins have grown! It was fun to swap baby stories with the Porters and we had an enjoyable night catching up on each other's lives.

Webre Family Vacation

So I was wondering if we wanted to have a "Webre" family annual vacation.  And if so, where would we go?  Looking for suggestions.  Kind of wondered about the condos at BearLake Ideal Beach.  Lots of grass and sidewalk.  Maybe could take the rinker (boat).  Other suggestions?  Dates that would be good for you or bad for you?  It's good to make reservations now for these kinds of things.  Let me know.

Girls' Retreat

Looking forward to our Girls' Retreat on Feb 22nd and Feb 23rd.  However, as I looked at places to stay in Park City, it was VERY expensive.  Must be something going on up there that weekend, or is it just the snow and skiing season?  Anyway, I think I'll change the location of our retreat to Salt Lake, and we can hang out at the City Creek Center instead.  I'll try to get an indoor pool.  So we'll try to be there by check-in time on the 22nd and be home in time for Heather's Baby Shower on the 23rd.  Jenny and Jill, do you want to be thinking about invitations for that?  I'll think on the food aspect.  Love you all!

The DeLong Fam

Well... nothing out of the ordinary has happened lately, but we're excited that it's February! The past few days have been quite a bit warmer, and we're hoping it'll stick around.

There are about a million things to do and buy before Ayla comes and only 8 weeks (or less) left to go! Yesterday we bought a play-pen/bassinet combo and a desk from a lady on Craigslist. But they reek of smoke, so hopefully we can find a way to take care of that asap! Any tricks or suggestions?

If anybody wants to go on a 'lil road trip to Boise, I'd love some help decorating my apartment! :) In return I will provide delicious foods and change your children's diapers! ;) deal? ...deal.
