Last night for FHE we sang "I'll Walk With You" from the Children's song book, and before the first few lines were through I started weeping and Evan proceeded to finish the song by himself. Haha, oh what a joy to be pregnant!
But really, it touched my heart. So I wanted to share it with you.
If you don’t walk as most people do,
Some people walk away from you,
But I won’t! I won’t!
If you don’t talk as most people do,
Some people talk and laugh at you,
But I won’t! I won’t!
I’ll walk with you. I’ll talk with you.
That’s how I’ll show my love for you.
Jesus walked away from none.
He gave his love to ev’ryone.
So I will! I will!
Jesus blessed all he could see,
Then turned and said, “Come, follow me.”
And I will! I will!
I’ll walk with you. I’ll talk with you.
That’s how I’ll show my love for you.
Isn't that what the gospel's all about? Loving and serving others. I just thought it was a sweet little reminder that even though we may not see eye to eye with some people, we're all children of God, and everyone deserves to be loved. We show that we're disciples of Christ when we show Christ-like love to everyone.
In other news... It is like a beautiful springtime wonderland here. The snow is all melted, my sliding glass door is wide open, and I'm enjoying a light breeze, soaking in the sunshine and listening to the birds sing. It feels like heaven. So... come to Boise.
That's all :)
Love you guys!
